SO THERE WERE GOATS ON MY UNIVERSITY CAMPUS YESTERDAY
To raise awareness and get students to register to vote, my student union brought in goats. The idea was simple, if you registered to vote, you got to stroke a goat. I didn't particularly want to stroke a goat and I didn't have my national insurance number on hand to register there and then but this did get me thinking and got us all talking about the importance of having your say in the coming elections. So feel free to browse through my photos and if you feel so inclined, just click here to register.

Pancake are delicious whether for breakfast or just as a snack and these pancakes are my absolute favourite. Not only are they tasty, they are high in protein; low carb; contain natural sugars; avoid waste by letting you use your super ripe bananas and you can eat a whole plateful guilt-free because all that really goes into them is one banana and two eggs. Now of course other ingredients have been added to enhance the flavour and some fruit for a lovely twist as well as for decorative purposes but banana and egg are at the core of this recipe.
I heard about this breakfast/snack from blogilates, put my own spin on it and I have never gone back. I seriously don't even know how to make regular pancakes any more! If you want to see the recipe and follow along with my pictures just look below.

One thing I knew that I wanted to get back into this new year is fitness because I have definitely been slacking. So in my countdown to the new year and the new me I decided to just start moving from the beginning again and that involved returning to the basics, sit ups, push ups etc and that is what I did. Below you'll find the super quick, super simple workout I did to get myself into the habit of moving again. It is very simple, I just wanted to mention that again in case you missed that, it simply involves doing ten reps of a list of exercises.

It’s that time of the year again where people write lists of things they hope to do in mostly futile attempts to change their lives and I am about to hop right on that band wagon for like the tenth time in my life and write out my new year’s resolutions. You see it just seems to be some inherent part of human nature to want to improve ourselves in some way and it is that often senseless annual ritual that I want to be part of this year like a lot of years in my life but this time with some success. I'm sick and tired of the same old same old and I am going to do something about it.
